Hi, I’m Cody Bush — a leather artisan from the U.S., and the founder of Bijou-ha.

I’ve been working with leather for most of my life. Not in a factory, not on a production line — but with my own two hands, in a workshop filled with the smell of leather, the sound of tools, and the kind of quiet that lets you focus on every little detail.

I started Bijou-ha because I wanted to do something simple, but rare:
Make the best bags I could. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just real work, real materials, and real passion.

Why I Do This
There’s something about leather that always spoke to me — maybe it’s the way it changes over time, or how every piece is slightly different, like it has its own personality. Maybe it’s the honesty of it. When you work with good leather, you can’t fake anything. Every stitch shows.

That’s why at Bijou-ha, every bag is made from premium cowhide and built completely by hand. Each one takes around 21 to 24 hours to finish. It’s slow work — but that’s the point.

We believe if something’s going to carry your essentials every day, it should be made with care, attention, and heart.
